Ireland: Day 7 {Bunratty Castle & Dingle}

After saying farewell to Newpark House, we began the drive to Dingle. We had a few fun pit stops on the way. First up was Bunratty Castle & Folk Park. We weren’t really sure what to expect, I as afraid it was going to be cheesy – but we actually really liked the park!
Bunratty Castle was so tall! My 50mm lens couldn’t even capture it so I have for you an iPhone shot!
(Note to self, I love my 50mm but bring something wider than a 50mm lens when traveling!)

Inside the Castle was really cool. We liked going up the EXTREMELY steep spiral staircases. They sure don’t make them like that anymore. And there were so many of them that led to all these different chambers & rooms! We were pretty slow moving but I can only imagine how fast the guards in the castle could go up those stairs, while carrying weapons!

No matter what part of the world we travel to, we are always drawn to the animals.
So to our delight, Bunratty had quite a few, and look how cute they were!! Ponies, Piggies and Geese – oh my! 🙂

I wanted to move into one of these little Irish cottages. Not even kidding.

How can you get tired of these views while driving around?

En-route to Dingle we made a stop at a tea room in Tralee called Mary Ann’s Tea Room.

And if you know me… you know I love all things tea! Everything was delicious!

We made it to Dingle just before the sun went down. The little town was pretty quiet and we enjoyed walking around awhile before settling into a few pubs for some live music.

A photo-op with Fungi the Dingle Dolphin statue was a top priority.
