Weddings like Luke & Jessica’s are the reason I love weddings so much! How can I not love photographing two people who are so in love, on the happiest day of their lives!?! As soon as I heard they were getting married at the River Highlands Ranch near Grass Valley, CA I was excited because it looked like an amazing place – and after spending the day there, it did not disappoint! Thank you so much to the incredibly talented Kristen Booth for shooting with me!
Last minute final touches on the vows 🙂
One of the most emotional moments of the day was when Jessica came down the stairs and saw her Dad standing there!
Jessica & Luke opted for a First Look, it was such a special moment!
Jessica, talk about stunning. Beautiful Bride doesn’t even begin to describe how gorgeous you are!
Luke cleaned up nicely too – so handsome!
Because of Luke’s love of hunting, the groomsmen all had on camo socks! So great!
The time for the ceremony arrived and everyone took their places. With beautiful harp & flute music playing, & the incredible scenery, the mood was perfectly set. And what a lovely ceremony it was!
You may now kiss the bride!
We were lucky enough to sneak off with Luke and Jessica for some photos. So glad for that time because these photos resulted from that!
These next few are some of my new all time favorites!
I loved all the reception details. Every where you looked you could see all the beautiful touches they had made. All their months of work & planning definitely paid off!
Luke and Jessica met while working at a restaurant… so it’s no surprise that they have a mutual love of food. Luke is a Chef and his restaurant catered all the delicious food that evening!
Jessica specializes in pastry – and she is responsible for the beautiful cake decorations!
No summer celebration is complete without a s’mores station & campfire!
Such a perfect setting for the first dance!
Once the music turned on the dancing immediately got started!
Thank you Luke & Jessica for having me there to document your beautiful day! You two are wonderful together & every part of your wedding reflected that. I wish you all the happiness in the world!
Beautiful wedding and photographs!!
AMAZING job, Shannon! Your work is absolutely beautiful and captured the day as perfectly as possible. Also, I appreciate your photojournalistic style and the fact that I kept wondering if you were missing things because I felt like I barely saw you. Of course, you captured everything, just without being obtrusive; one of the best skills a wedding photographer can have! I have been sitting on pins and needles waiting to the photos, and I was shocked when I saw that some of them were already done. Thank you for your hard work in creating memories for all of us and getting them back so quickly! Can’t wait to see the rest!
Wow, Sarah – you are the sweetest! Thank you for the kind words!! You guys were a joy to capture, thank you for making my job so easy! 🙂
love them!
AmAzInG pics! Gorgeous! Blessing to the happy couple!
