#1 Find the perfect boots. And buy them.
With fall here I knew some new boots were a must. After some online shopping and a few trips to the mall, I found some! Now, I’m a bit picky about shoes & it would be hard for me to find the “perfect” boots unless it was one I custom designed… but I found some that came darn close enough! Plus they were Steven Madden boots on clearance for $29.99. With a price like that, I couldn’t pass them up!
#13 Finish Family Tree
This is project that will probably never be finished because there is so much research that could be done! But, with the help of some old family trees and Ancestry.com I was able to go back several generations on both my dad & mom’s side. Maybe it’s my love of history, but I find it all so fascinating! It turns out, my background is heavily Irish and English with a touch of Italian and Yugoslavian!
#19 Try 5 new restaurants in my area
Restaurant #2 – It wasn’t planned but my family and I ended up having my birthday dinner at Firestone Public House in Downtown Sacramento. We had planned on getting some PF Changs but for some reason no one thought to make reservations… After paying for parking we strolled up ready to ask for a table, only to find out that there was a two hour wait thanks to a conference going on down the street. Thankfully there was a close by option and we found ourselves at Firestone. It wouldn’t have been my first choice for a birthday dinner but it ended up working out great. Especially since there wasn’t a 2 hour wait! I think one of the highlights was at the end of the night when our awesome waiter said he had something special for us since it was my brithday. Expecting something sweet with a candle in it, we were quite surprised when he pulled out a deck of cards. He proceeded with one of the craziest card tricks I’ve ever seen. I still have no idea how he did it and I’ve never seen anyone do something like it before. (I would have to recommend the buffalo wings as my favorite thing we ordered… they disappeared before I could get a picture of them)
#64 Have New Bio Photos Taken
One of the perks of being a photographer is having some many talented photographer friends. It just so happend to work out that not one, but three of my friends offered to take some bio photos for me! Aren’t they the best!? Here are a few sneak peaks but stay tuned to see more on my NEW website I’m working on!
Thank you Kristen!
And Lisa!
And Kirsty!
#90 Renew my library card that Iām pretty sure expired!
This is one I’ve been meaning to do for YEARS, and I’m so glad I finally did this! Thank you 101 list! It came in handy being able to check out some books while I planned a long awaited trip… š Libraries are the best!
Last but not least, this final update isn’t quite completed… but in just a little over a week, it will be in progress!
#5 Visit Ireland
I’m excited to say that my sister and I are headed to the Emerald Isle next week!! Back in the spring of 2010 my sister Jessica and I decided we wanted to start saving up to take a big trip someone where. We decided on Ireland. Now after 2 and 1/2 years of saving and planning, we will be getting on an airplane headed for Dublin and heading out on the adventure of our lifetime! I can’t even believe that it’s just about here! After we land in Dublin we are heading west. Wish us luck with the rental car – driving on the opposite side of the road on narrow lanes may make for an interesting trip! (We opted for every extra insurance option there is! ha!) Anyone else out there ever been? I love hearing advice from people who have been before!
And just incase anyone wondered – you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be pictures to come. Lots and lots. Prepare yourselves, hehe š
I love crossing things off my 101 list. WE need to do some of your stuff together!
I am looooving your new blog! So sweet and so you. Can’t wait to see what you’ll be up to in 2013 š
