I had the honor of capturing these beautiful Davis CA wedding photos for the incredibly sweet Ashley and Clayton at Grace Valley Christian Center. It was a long awaited day for these two, and it was a joy for me to be there for it. The day started off with overcast skies, but the chance of rain held off just long enough for us to capture all sorts of outdoor portraits which made me one happy photographer! As a matter of fact, it held off until the VERY end of the wedding, and just before the bride and groom made their grand exit for the car. It actually made for some very fun grand exit photos – the newlyweds were not only showered with rose petals, they also got a real shower!
Ashley looked stunning, and Clayton was absolutely beaming when he saw her during their first look. It was perfect! The whole wedding was a wonderful celebration from start to finish. I also thought it was so special to see how well everything came together when they had to make a last minute decision to move the wedding indoors when it was originally going to be outside. You would never have known as everything looked amazing!
Congratulations Clayton and Ashley! I hope your honeymoon was perfect and that your marriage is off to a beautiful start!
I just loved this adorable cake that looked like a tree trunk. You can even see Clayton and Ashley’s initals “carved” in the cake! Before they cut into the cake, Clayton’s best man gave a very funny and sweet toast.
